Humanity

My skin is forever forgetful
And while its a virtuous cycle,
The scrubbing and choking on
Soot and Sinew
My tender epidermis rapidly decaying to regenerate
For the cells to then wither once more.
I drag my nails along the residue
The experience flaking away en masse
All evidence fades as I shed and
shed again.
